Inspiration
For this Earth Painting, I wanted to recreate the soft and dusty paths that remind me of the Luberon region. I also wanted to depict the language I observed on the large rocks alongside those paths, with scratches and other subtle marks of history on them—poems whispered among ancient rocks and minerals for millions of years.

Rich ochres, delicate patinas, and subtle marks and textures: a Provence of the past is being brought back to life with this new serene and nostalgic series, crafted naturally and intentionally from local pigments in Luberon, France.
