'Kingussie' (2023) is crafted on location in the Cairngorms, Scotland, with pigments intentionally sourced from the beautiful Uath Loch. Though small in size (20x20 cm), this all-natural Earth Painting embodies a history so vast it is impossible for us to fully grasp. It is estimated that the richly textured granite, quartz, muscovite, and feldspar forming the surface of this Earth Painting-resting on a foundation of reclaimed wood and denim jeans—are about 400 to 415 million years old. 'Kingussie' truly comes to life in the sun, when it illuminates the mica minerals composed of crystals. Kingussie is a proud member of the Wildheart series, created amidst and with the majestic Munros, valleys, and rivers of the Cairngorms in Scotland.
