It is such an honour to know and share that eight Earth Paintings have now found their beautiful home on the isle of Mallorca.
More than beautiful — their home is a place that effortlessly invites nature in, with thanks to the South African architect @_saota, design studio @grand_johnson and, with special thanks to, the eye and magic of @riannelandstra.
What’s particularly meaningful to us about the large Earth Painting (163x143cm) is that it has been created, as always, with natural pigments from the area surrounding the home. The local Marès sandstone is visible in all its forms: as grains, as powder, and even as small fragments.
And so, when you’re resting on the bed, looking out, admiring the sea—
you’ll see the cliffs mirrored back to you in the Earth Painting. As if nature were quietly speaking to itself, transformed into a different form of art.
This is what inviting nature in—our philosophy—is about: feeling immersed in, yet never superior to, nature’s wondrous beauty.
And we feel this project has captured just that.
