Every time I gaze upon these small pieces of granite and quartz within this Earth Painting, I think of the first snowflakes descending onto a mountain peak.

The pure material for this Earth Painting — granite and quartz — has been intentionally collected by us at an altitude of 1200m in the Cairngorms in Scotland during the ascent of Sgòr Gaoith, one of the most beautiful Munros offering stunning views of Loch Eanaich.

Its size is 55.5 x 55.5cm, and it's made, as always, on handmade denim canvas, using a completely natural process (no chemicals involved), created on location in Scotland.
